Arun brings a wealth of experience in healthcare and technology entrepreneurship. As Chief Medical Officer, Hospital Medicine at ApolloMD, he built one of the ten largest hospital medicine groups in the country with more than 300 physicians operating in 30 hospitals. Previously, Arun held senior roles at Emory as Medical Director of Care Coordination at Emory University Hospital and Associate Vice-Chair for IT in the Department of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Earlier in his career, Arun was Co-Founder of PictureRx which was acquired by Bioscape Digital in 2014. Arun completed his BA from Swarthmore College and MD and MBA at Emory University where he was a Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Cambridge Health Alliance and Harvard Medical School.

As a management consultant, Anup advised some of the world’s leading companies, such as AT&T, Microsoft, Nordstroms, Home Depot, and Coca-Cola, in addressing critical business challenges. He previously led client-facing teams at Ernst & Young, Manhattan Associates, and at Mu Sigma, where he also was Director of Sales. He completed his MBA from Emory University with Beta Gamma Sigma honors and his MS in Industrial & Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University.

Joseph Heyman, MD, is Founder, former President and CMIO of Whittier IPA, which includes more than 200 physicians in the Merrimack Valley. He is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist with a private practice in Amesbury, Massachusetts, served an 8-year term on the American Medical Association (AMA) Board of Trustees (BOT). He served as Chair of the AMA-BOT from 2008 to 2009, Secretary from 2005 to 2006, and was Chair of the Finance Committee. Involved in organized medicine since joining the Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) in 1973, Heyman joined the AMA in 1980 and has been a member of the Massachusetts delegation to the AMA since 1987. He was a member of the AMA Council on Medical Service, serving on its Executive Committee from 1997 to 2000, and as its Chair from 2000 to 2001. During his tenure on the Council, Heyman helped develop AMA policy on health insurance reform, pharmaceutical industry spending in the United States, and hospital mergers. He served on the Boards of the Joint Commission and Joint Commission Resources/International. Dr. Heyman has served as an advisor to numerous organizations including as Chair of the Independent National Physician Advisory Board, OptumInsight and as Chair of Ingenix’s Physician Advisory Board.

Dr. Morris currently serves as Managing Partner of Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates. He joined the practice in 1978 and has led its growth into the largest gastroenterology practice in the Southeast. Dr. Morris is a member of numerous professional associations including the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Gastroenterology Association, the Medical Association of Atlanta, the Medical Association of Georgia, and the Georgia Gastrointestinal Society. He is past president of the Georgia Gastrointestinal Society and previously served as chief of staff at Emory University Hospital Midtown Hospital. Dr. Morris received his medical degree from the State University of New York. Following his internship and residency at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, Dr. Morris completed a fellowship in digestive diseases at the University of Miami. He also holds a juris doctorate from the Georgia State University College of Law.

Fred Sanfilippo is Director of the Emory-Georgia Tech Healthcare Innovation Program, a network that accelerates innovation in healthcare research, education, and service across the universities and health systems in Atlanta and the Southeast. He is professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, Emory School of Medicine, and Health Policy & Management, Rollins School of Public Health. He also serves as trustee and medical director of the Marcus Foundation. From 2007-2010 Fred was Emory University executive vice president for Health Affairs; CEO, Woodruff Health Sciences Center; and board chair of Emory Healthcare. Previously he was Ohio State University executive dean and senior VP for Health Sciences; CEO of OSU Medical Center; and dean of the College of Medicine and Public Health. From 1993 - 2000, he was the Baxley Professor and Chairman of Pathology and Pathologist-in-Chief at Johns Hopkins, and research director of the Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Transplant Center. Fred received BS and MS degrees in physics from Penn and his MD and PhD from Duke University School of Medicine. He has mentored numerous graduate students and fellows, published over 275 articles, received three patents, and been awarded over $30 million in sponsored research. He has been an invited speaker at over 200 meetings, a consultant to over 80 university, government and corporate institutions, board chair of five non-profits, and president of seven academic and professional organizations.

Ken was formerly with CSC Index and Deloitte & Touche, where he served as a management consultant to many of the world’s leading companies. Ken is a graduate of Duke University, where he earned a BS in electrical engineering and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business.
